Something Wicked This way Comes
Written by Ray Bradbury, Something Wicked This way Comes is a whimsical fall classic that I adore. The goal was to create a cover design that encompasses the novel’s themes with a limited color palette and simplified style.
(01) Cover Design Process
I played with the symmetry to have some off balance elements to help give the unsettling feel. It was tricky initially to decide what elements to include, but I aimed to have the Ferris wheel spider web motif to be the main focus. Alluding to the overall themes of the carnival not being what it seems within the story.
